Job Description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION :

Assists with operation of Seasonal Ice Cream Shop, including order taking, point-of-sale entry, and ice cream scooping.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES :

• Takes guest orders for Ice Cream Shop items and enters items in point-of-sale system.
• Scoops ice cream and serves pastry items to complete guest orders.
• Keeps adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures the proper storage and refrigeration of same.
• Keeps spoilage/waste to a minimum by ordering and utilizing proper quantities and rotating products. Develop new products for a la carte and catering menus on a rotating basis.
• Lines up pastry products in mobile carts according to the needs of the particular outlet/function.
• Set daily pars on all products to ensure freshness.
• Utilize any and all leftovers into usable products.
• Assist kitchen management by performing other culinary duties, as requested.
• Keeps workstation neat and orderly - "clean as you go".

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED :

Order taking and point-of-sale experience.

EDUCATION REQUIRED :

High School graduate or equivalent required. 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

Order taking and point-of-sale entry.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES :

Food sanitation certificates required.

SALARY RANGE :

$21.25 - $26.56/hour
