This is an immediate hire project for remote Desktop Quickbooks professionals on a temporary basis. Unfortunately we have had many people apply and get selected; however to later state they are unavailable. Please make sure that you are 100% available for hire when you apply. This would really help to not waste your time or ours, since this process involves a full US Government Background check. Kindly keep in mind, that we are a US CPA and Law Firm. We require full independent contractors agreement and US govt background checks to work on this project!

We are looking for highly experienced Desktop Quickbooks Data Entry Clerk to type information into our database from paper documents. NO QUICKBOOKS ONLINE USERS! The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and must be a fast typist (Min 50WPM) with a keen eye for detail. You will report to a data manager or another senior data team member. Understanding of data confidentiality principles is compulsory. The company will rely on you for having accurate and updated data that are easily accessible through a digital database.

Responsibilities

  • Type financial data into excel spreadsheets using bank statements and financial reports
  • Reconcile all data entry
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents
  • Reconcile & Update existing data
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
  • Prepares, compiles, and sorts documents for data entry.
  • Verifies and logs receipt of data.
  • Transcribes source data into the required electronic format.
  • Transfers information from paper formats into computer files using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners.
  • Performs high-volume data entry using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other computer software.
  • Verifies integrity of data by comparing it to source documents.
  • Reviews data for errors, missing pages, or missing information and resolves any discrepancies.
  • Maintains a filing system and protects confidential customer information.
  • Performs regular backups to ensure data preservation.
  • Responds to requests to retrieve data from the database or electronic filing system.
  • Uses basic office equipment (photocopy machine, facsimile machine, etc.)
  • Maintains a satisfactory level of quality and productivity per department standards.
  • Completes additional assigned tasks as required.

Skills

  • Minimum 5 proven years of experience using Desktop Quickbooks; you will be tested on all advance functions of Desktop Quickbooks. As well your job references will be personally checked by our HR dept to confirm your skills and performance
  • Fast typing skills of at least 50WPM which will be tested; Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred. Please test your typing speed at and send a screenshot of the results with your inquiry when you apply.
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills. Must be fluent in English; (Projects Works Directly With CPAs and Lawyers)
  • Great attention to detail
  • High school degree or equivalent

  • Monday to Friday (Mornings & Afternoons Only)

This is a remote job during the hours of 10AM EST - 6PM EST. Your 6 hours a day will be your choice from in between these hours listed. If you cant work 6 consistent hours per day; please do not apply so that we do not waste your time!

Pay:

We normally will ask for your pay history, since this is a contract IRS1099 project. You may decline to answer, however, please note that the hourly rate offered, if you are accepted, will be solely on what you present during your interview if your pay history is not disclosed. Pay is NOT negotiable as all applicants are reviewed and tested by our CPAs and Tax Attorneys. Due to this project works directly with CPAs and Tax Attorneys, they will be able to best make a determination on if your skills during the interview is a good fit for this project.
