They are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on a challenging water/wastewater construction project in the Lafayette/Boulder area.

  • Proven ability to manage self-performed crews, subcontractors, schedules, site logistics, safety and quality.
  • Experience coordinating complex construction activities within active or operational facilities.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support a developing field team.
  • Ability to work in the Lafayette/Boulder area and travel throughout Colorado as required.

  • Trade certification, Construction Management degree or related education.
  • OSHA 30, First Aid, confined-space or other relevant safety certifications.

Responsibilities
  • Lead daily field operations on a complex water/wastewater construction project in the Lafayette/Boulder area.
  • Plan, coordinate and sequence self-performed work, subcontractors, equipment, materials and site logistics.
  • Develop and maintain short-term schedules, look-ahead plans and daily work priorities aligned with the overall project schedule.
  • Direct foremen, field crews and subcontractors while maintaining clear expectations and accountability.
  • Coordinate civil, structural, concrete, process mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation scopes.
  • Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with project plans, specifications, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, site inspections and hazard assessments while reinforcing a strong safety culture.
  • Review drawings, specifications, submittals and RFIs to identify constructability issues and field conflicts.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to address schedule risks, procurement needs, changes and emerging project issues.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, shutdowns, tie-ins and work within active treatment facilities.
  • Monitor field productivity, manpower, equipment usage and material availability to keep the project on schedule.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower records, progress documentation and field records.
  • Build productive relationships with owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers and facility operators.
  • Enforce quality-control procedures and ensure deficiencies are identified and corrected promptly.
  • Support commissioning, startup, operator training, punch-list completion and final turnover.
  • Mentor junior superintendents, foremen and field staff while strengthening processes and accountability within the Colorado operation.
  • Collaborate with company leadership and project teams in California and across the national federal group to share resources and construction best practices.
