Overview
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Sonora, California, United States. Travel assignment starting 08/31/2026 for 13 contract weeks in a short-term acute care hospital setting. Weekly pay range $1,395–$1,425 per week with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift: 5x8 days. This assignment requires California LVN licensure, current BLS, and active nursing practice. On-call duties may be assigned based on location and agency needs.

Responsibilities
- Provide general nursing care for assigned patients under the supervision of an RN or physician, following established policies and the nursing process.
- Participate in planning and delivering patient care; assist in developing and coordinating an interdisciplinary plan of care.
- Perform routine clinical procedures (e.g., phlebotomy, injections, basic drug administration) and ensure aseptic technique.
- Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions; document care and outcomes per policy.
- Assist in ordering/restocking supplies, maintain neat and clean work areas, and support ancillary staff as needed.
- Contribute to patient education and discharge planning; support on-call duties as required by agency needs.

Requirements
- Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in California (State of practice) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification required.
- At least two years of recent nursing experience in the field.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
- EPIC experience preferred; hospice experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and being 21 years of age or older preferred.
- Ability to work day shift as specified and to fulfill weekend and 3 weekday coverage as needed.
