Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Primary Care Physicians to deliver on-site outpatient primary care at the Hyannis VA Clinic located at 233 Stevens Street, Barnstable, MA 02601.The schedule is typically Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to Veteran patients.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Perform initial evaluation, treatment, and management of:
    • Minor wound care
    • Respiratory illnesses
    • Gastrointestinal illnesses
    • Burns
    • Musculoskeletal injuries
    • Dermatologic conditions
    • ENT conditions
    • Eye disorders
    • Urologic conditions
  • Manage chronic diseases including:
    • Coronary artery disease
    • Atherosclerotic vascular disease
    • Type I and Type II diabetes
    • Hypertension
    • Hyperlipidemia
    • PTSD
    • Depression
    • Other chronic medical and behavioral health conditions
  • Follow all VA medication management policies and procedures.
  • Ensure timely communication of patient test results.
  • Document all care in the VA Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Select and document appropriate Evaluation & Management (E&M) codes.
  • Complete documentation and coding by the end of each patient encounter
  • Participate in quality improvement and performance improvement activities.
  • Attend Primary Care staff meetings (biweekly).
  • Attend additional staff meetings as required.
  • Complete QA/QI documentation.
  • Participate in peer reviews, OPPE, and FPPE evaluations.
  • Report patient safety events within 24 hours using the VA Patient Safety Reporting System.
  • Follow all infection control and patient safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
  • Current BLS and ACLs through the American Heart Association
  • NPI report printout
  • Active DEA license
  • Has and maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification 
  • Must be able to pass a federal background investigation
  • No sponsorship available

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
