Job Description

Salary: $70,000 - 110,000 per year Requirements:

  • To be considered for this position, I require candidates to meet the following qualifications:
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree is essential.
  • Experience:
  • - At least 1 year of direct experience supporting Epic applications, including managing builds or templates.
  • - Experience in operational analysis, system/application support, and training or advising end users.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience in Epic application support, including builds or template management.
  • Direct experience in the operational domain being supported (e.g., ambulatory workflows, revenue cycle, scheduling, billing).
  • Experience as a super-user of an Electronic Health Record (EHR), preferably Epic.
  • Licensure/Certifications:
  • - Required: Epic certification in the core application (Ambulatory).
  • - Preferred: Epic certification in ancillary/non-core applications, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and any relevant non-Epic specialty certifications.
Responsibilities:
  • In this role, I expect you to serve as a vital resource on our team, enhancing your expertise in the assigned operations, the associated Epic application, and its integrations with other Epic products. As your knowledge grows, you will begin to specialize in a particular segment of a broader process, such as revenue cycle, inpatient, or ambulatory care.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Acting as a team resource with increasing technical knowledge about assigned operations and the related Epic application.
  • Engaging with end users to comprehend their business needs, whether related to processes, data, or reporting. You'll clarify and finalize the scope of requests with users and conduct detailed analyses of technology and operations.
  • Participating in ticket analysis to troubleshoot issues and identify project needs, including enhancements or system modifications.
  • Independently executing moderately complex configurations according to departmental guidelines, involving the modification of rules with various variables and straightforward custom logic.
  • Coordinating the implementation of solutions that affect the supported application, vendor, end users, and technical teams.
  • Researching and analyzing both vendor and internal application functionalities linked to the supported application.
  • Participating in system upgrades by reviewing release notes, recommending build/testing necessities for review, communicating milestones, and managing timelines while creating and updating test scripts.
  • Performing system maintenance tasks, addressing interface errors, and making annual industry edits.
  • Communicating effectively with super-users and managers regarding the supported application and its processes, providing explanations of moderately complex issues and influencing solutions.
  • Regularly collecting feedback from super-users and managers, and may even provide specialized training to user groups.
  • Guiding less experienced team members in build and testing activities.
  • Engaging in professional development activities, forums, and knowledge-sharing, including the possibility of attending or presenting at external forums such as Epic XGM Support.
