Job Description

Compensation: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 annually

Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Heavy Equipment Mechanic to become a part of our vibrant team. In this position, you will be tasked with diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse array of heavy machinery and industrial equipment to guarantee optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations run efficiently, supporting various sectors such as construction, agriculture, and transportation. Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery.
• Utilize OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals and schematics to accurately identify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake repairs, transmission servicing, and tire rotations.
• Fabricate parts or components as necessary using welding, soldering, and hand tools to ensure the longevity and safety of equipment.
• Repair and maintain diesel engines, air brake systems, suspensions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and powertrain components.
• Assist with heavy lifting operations during repairs or assembly by employing appropriate heavy equipment operation techniques.
• Keep detailed service records and documentation of all repairs conducted for compliance and future reference.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Service Technician, with dealership experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical understanding of excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors (including agricultural machinery), industrial equipment, and automotive diagnostics.
• Ability to read schematics and OEM manuals for troubleshooting intricate systems.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
