Job Description

Madow CPA is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with hands-on experience in Sage Accounting Software . The ideal candidate should have strong bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals, the ability to manage financial records accurately, and experience supporting CPA firms or accounting environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records and ledgers
• Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Process journal entries and general ledger activities
• Prepare financial statements and reports
• Handle payroll support and expense tracking
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using Sage software
• Assist CPA/accounting team with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial documentation

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounting Assistant
• Strong hands-on experience with Sage Accounting Software
• Good understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Experience with reconciliations, invoicing, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with CPA firms or accounting offices
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• QuickBooks experience is a plus
