Accounting Manager – Commercial Real Estate
Location : Boston, MA (Hybrid)

A leading real estate investment and development firm is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its Boston-based team. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role overseeing accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial office and life science assets. The Accounting Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including asset management, development, finance, and tax to deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reporting.

This role is ideal for a real estate accounting professional with 5+ years of commercial property or fund-level accounting experience who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and wants exposure across acquisitions, development, and portfolio operations.

Responsibilities :

• Manage financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial assets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP standards
• Review property-level financials, variance analyses, and budgets prepared by third-party management teams
• Oversee lender compliance, loan draws, and capital call/distribution activity
• Prepare consolidated financials and ownership reporting packages
• Partner with asset management and development teams on acquisitions, dispositions, and project-level cash flow forecasting
• Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and internal control initiatives

Key Qualifications :

• 5+ years of real estate accounting experience (commercial, mixed-use, or development)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, CAM reconciliations, and lender reporting
• Experience preparing both property-level and consolidated financial statements
• Hands-on experience with Yardi or MRI (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Prior supervisory experience a plus

Compensation :
~$130K–$140K base + 15% annual bonus + excellent benefits package

Schedule :
Hybrid model (3 days in office / 2 remote alternating weekly)
